CrownSeal is a revolutionary premixed crown repair system that forms a flexible waterproof coating to seal and protect chimney crowns. It can be used in a variety of horizontal or vertical waterproofing applications as long as the surface is structurally sound. For chimney crowns brush the surface free of loose dust or granules mist the area with clean water from a spray bottle then apply CrownSeal with a trowel or putty knife. Since it is a flexible material it can be used right against the flue tile with no airspace required. CrownSeal is most effective when spread to a uniform thickness between .125in – .25in – 1in max. Depending on the texture and porosity of the surface one gallon of Crown Seal will cover 15 to 18 sq. ft. at .125in thickness. It dries to a natural concrete-mortar appearance in just a few hours. CrownSeal should not be used when temperatures are expected to fall below 40 degrees. Temperature should be 40 degrees or above for at least 24 hours. 5 Gallon bucket.
