Each AISI 8650 steel blade is heat treated to 52-56 HRC and sharpened to a precise 30-degree tapered point. TEKTON Mini Pry Bars provide a greater range of motion for prying and lifting up components than other small pry bars, while also being able to work in tight areas. Their strong steel shafts are made from Ni-Cr-Mo alloy hardened to 50-54, ensuring that they won’t bend under pressure. All Picks, Hooks, and Mini Pry Bars have a protective black oxide coating that is corrosion resistant and can’t flake or chip off like other finishes. Their handles are made of glass reinforced nylon that resists damage from extreme temperatures, high impacts, chips and cracks, scratches and dents, fuels and grease, and cleaners and solvents. Our family of mini pry bar, pick, and hook products is made entirely in Michigan with only USA-sourced materials. Machining, bending, coining, handle molding, and press-fitting the handle and blade take place at our Grand Rapids, Michigan manufacturing facility.
