Using stain and indicator solutions, students identify classes of compounds important in nutrition including proteins, lipids and carbohydrates and test for their presence. They also perform qualitative and quantitative tests for Vitamin C and undertake a detection of enzyme activity. Useful for biology, chemistry, health, and physiology classes, the kit features simplified instructions based on standard laboratory procedures. Includes materials for 24 students working in pairs.
