These simple machines work by creating pressure through heat to force pressurized hot water through finely ground coffee and into the top holding chamber. This is exactly the same process a very expensive espresso machine uses to brew your coffee.
How to use your stovetop espresso coffee maker ?

  • Step 1: Fill the bottom chamber with water up to the steam release valve (overpressure plug). Do not overfill! This will cause water to come out the valve as it warms up.
  • Step 2: Insert the filter and fill it with your favorite espresso coffee. It is very important to smooth it (level it) and please dont tamp it.
  • Step 3: Make sure the rubber gasket is in place.
  • Step 4: Screw the top on, but not too hard (otherwise you wont be able to open it again!).
  • Step 5: Put it on the stovetop with enough heat to cover the bottom, but not so that it heats the handle because it may get too hot and melt.
  • Step 6: When you hear the greca gurgling, this means that the water tank is empty, remove it from the heat and allow it to sit for 30 to 60 Seconds.
  • Step 7: Serve the coffee and enjoy!
