The filter is constructed from a carbon impregnated media so that it can offer both sediment and chlorine taste and odor reduction in one cartridge. Filter cartridge is made from non-cellulose material making it more resistant to bacterial attacks so it is a great choice for municipal and non-chlorinated water applications. The NCP-BB is an excellent polishing cartridge as a post-filter for reverse osmosis systems and well water applications.
