Acorn m-30-bd3 murdock retro barrier free freeze resistant foot pedal outdoor drinking fountain model m-30-bd3 is a drinking fountain of classic design capable of year-round use in freezing or inclement weather with 3 foot depth of bury. The pedestal is fabricated of heavy duty iron casting extending from grade line to bowl. The pedestal is predominantly octagonal with an octagonal base with four mounting holes and finished with heavy grade oil-based brown enamel paint. The bowl is octagonal, chrome-plated, solid brass casting with outer edge at least 8-1/2″ from center of bubbler outlet. The drain opening in the bowl is fabricated of chrome-plated, solid brass casting and is adequately protected from stoppage and vandalism. The bubbler is chrome-plated, solid brass casting with outlet near edge of bowl above the rim. The mouthguard is chrome-plated, solid brass casting mounted on the outer edge of bowl to meet sanitary requirements. All solid brass castings conform to astm standards b61 and b62. Lead-free castings are used in all waterways. The valve is a foot pedal operated spring loaded to close. The pedal is aluminum bronze. The mainspring is stainless steel wire with a 1/4″ minimum diameter. Valve and bubbler conform to lead-free requirements of nsf61, section 9, 1997 and chsc 116875.
