XTRweldTM Ceriated Tungsten Electrodes are engineered for precision and versatility in GTAW/TIG welding. Infused with 2% cerium oxide, these electrodes deliver outstanding arc starts at low amperages, making them ideal for delicate, detailed work. Known for their stability and smooth arc performance, ceriated tungsten electrodes excel in DC welding and can also handle light AC welding tasks when needed. With slightly different electrical properties than thoriated tungstenbut with similarly excellent performanceceriated tungsten is often used as a safer, low-radioactivity alternative. Suitable for welding carbon steel, stainless steel, nickel alloys, and titanium.

  • Infused with 2% cerium oxide for superior arc starts at low amperages
  • Ideal for precision work on thin materials and small, delicate parts
  • Performs best in DC welding, but compatible with AC applications
  • Versatile electrode for carbon steel, stainless steel, nickel alloys, and titanium
  • Can be used as a safer alternative to thoriated tungsten
