Hisco’s closed-back blades are stamped from a single piece of steel and the hollow back, known as the “frog”, is welded closed with a steel plate to reduce soil build-up and add strength. Blades have forward turned steps for secure and comfortable foot placement. Handles are attached with a single rivet and feature a reinforcing metal collar at the neck.
